Derek Marso is the owner of Valley Farm Market, a position held since January 2007, and co-founder of the #SVBBQFest, an amateur BBQ competition associated with Cali Comfort BBQ since 2009. Each year, Valley Farm Market and Cali Comfort BBQ collaborate to host the Spring Valley BBQ Festival, a community event celebrating BBQ culture. Derek Marso earned a Bachelor of Arts degree in Geography from Kansas State University between 2001 and 2005.
