Kathy Kristiansen has a diverse work experience in the field of behavioral health. Kathy started their career in 1997 at Valley Community Services Board as an Adult Outpatient Services Clinician and later took on the role of Emergency Services Clinician. In 2003, they joined Valley CSB as the Adult Oupatient Services Supervisor and eventually became the Behavioral Healthcare Director. In 2010, they returned to Valley Community Services Board as the Director of Client Services, and in 2012, they became the Director of Behavioral Health. Kathy holds several degrees, including an MS Ed, MA, Ed. S, LPC, and CSAC.
Kathy Kristiansen, MS Ed, MA, Ed. S, LPC, CSAC, has an extensive education history in the field of counseling psychology and education. From 1983 to 1985, they attended James Madison University, where they earned a Master of Science in Education (MS Ed.) degree. Later, from 1991 to 1996, they pursued further education at James Madison University and completed a dual degree program, earning a Master of Arts (MA) and an Education Specialist (Ed. S) degree in Counseling Psychology. With their diverse educational background and expertise in counseling psychology, Kathy Kristiansen has equipped herself with the necessary skills and knowledge to excel in their profession as a Licensed Professional Counselor (LPC) and Certified Substance Abuse Counselor (CSAC).
