Serena Long is an experienced educator currently serving as an Elementary School Teacher at Valley Charter Schools since August 2022. Previously, Serena was a Student Teacher with Los Angeles Unified School District, where 10 weeks were spent in a 3rd grade classroom, collaborating with both general education and special education teachers. Serena's leadership skills were exemplified as the Vice President of New Member Education and Member Experience for Alpha Phi International Fraternity, where responsibilities included directing meetings and implementing a New Member Program. Serena also has experience as a Summer School Teacher at North Valley Military Institute, a private tutor for a fourth grader, and has worked in customer service as a waitress at The Ravine Waterpark. Educational background includes a Bachelor's degree in Education from California State University, Northridge.
