Alberto Hernandez has a diverse and extensive work experience in the technology and payments industry. Alberto began their career at Thales Digital Identity and Security (formerly Gemalto) in 2001, where they served as the Solutions Sales Director for Mobile Solutions in Latin America. In this role, they led solution selling, managed a team of 30 solution sales engineers, and generated $80 million in annual revenue.

In 2013, Hernandez joined Valid S.A., initially as the Division Director for Means of Payment. Alberto managed global sales operations and customer services for Brazil, Argentina, and the US, implementing a holistic approach and increasing customer satisfaction significantly.

After that, Hernandez transitioned to the position of Chief Commercial Officer, overseeing the Payment and Mobile Business Units on a global scale, including Europe, Brazil, Argentina, and the US. Alberto directed strategy, sales teams, and business planning for each location, achieving $350 million in annual revenue.

Hernandez then took on the role of Chief Operations Officer for Valid S.A.'s Payment/Mobile/Data Business Units in the US region. Alberto relocated to the US to develop the market and secure more opportunities, owning the full profit and loss responsibility, sales, and operations for a $120 million organization. Alberto analyzed operations, resolved challenges, and recruited top talent.

Currently, Hernandez serves as the Senior Vice President of Sales and Marketing for the Payment and Mobile Units in the US region at Valid S.A. Alberto drives revenue growth through sales, marketing, and technology, identifies potential partners, and increases market share. Alberto successfully navigates challenges by inspiring teams, maintaining high standards, and securing product parts during shortages.

Alberto Hernandez completed an Executive Development Program from The Wharton School in 2013 and a Management Program (D-1) from IPADE Business School in 1999-2000. Alberto also holds a Bachelor's degree in Computer Science from Instituto Politécnico Nacional, which they earned from 1987 to 1992.
