Essa Reijmers is a seasoned professional with extensive experience in policy advising and organizational development. Currently serving as a Senior Policy Advisor and Coordinator for Women’s Shelter Networks and Research at Valente since June 2020, Essa also holds a long-standing role at Blijf Groep as an Innovation & Development Advisor, engaging with the organization and its predecessors since 1998 in various managerial capacities. Additionally, Essa has volunteered at Stichting AAP since 2003, focusing on animal welfare and maintaining international connections. Previous roles include working as a community worker at the Moroccan Women’s Association in the Netherlands and a junior researcher at Vrije Universiteit Amsterdam. Essa's academic background includes studies at Amsterdam University of Applied Sciences and multiple degrees from Vrije Universiteit Amsterdam.
