Ramses Agustin has a diverse work experience spanning several companies and roles. Ramses began their career as a Draper Lab Fellow at Charles Stark Draper Laboratory in 1996 and continued in this role until 1998. Ramses later joined Vala Sciences, Inc. in 2004 as an Image Analysis Consultant for one year. In 2006, Agustin became a Postdoctoral Researcher at Sanford-Burnham Medical Research Institute and remained there until 2011. Ramses then transitioned to UC San Diego, where they worked as a Graduate Student Researcher from 2000 to 2006. Agustin returned to Vala Sciences in 2012 and assumed the position of Quality Control & Applications Engineer. Currently, they hold the role of Director of Applications & Support at Vala Sciences.
Ramses Agustin completed their Ph.D. in Bioengineering at UC San Diego from an unknown start date to 2007. Before that, they obtained an M.S. in Bioengineering from UC San Diego from 1999 to 2001. Prior to that, Ramses earned an M.S. in Mechanical Engineering from the Massachusetts Institute of Technology from 1995 to 1998. Their undergraduate degree, a B.S. in Mechanical Engineering, was obtained from the University of California, Davis from 1990 to 1995. Ramses Agustin completed their high school education at Hogan Sr. High from 1987 to 1990.
