Wendy M. Spirek has extensive experience in managed care contracting and payer relations. Wendy M. is currently the Director of Managed Care Contracting & Payer Relations at Vail Health since September 2021. Previously, they worked as the Provider Network Management at Centura Health from 2020 to 2021. From 2017 to 2020, they served as the VP of Payer Contracting and Community Outreach at Children's Eye Physicians, where they negotiated and advocated for the practice's revenue interests in payer and hospital physician call agreements. Wendy also held positions at HCA Healthcare as the Director of Payer Engagement & Managed Care Contracting, Strategic Pricing & Analytics from 2015 to 2017 and at Centura Health as a Consultant and RCCO Contract Manager from 2011 to 2012. Before that, they had consulting roles at various organizations, including Spirek Consulting, Averde Health, CareMore Health, Heritage Health Solutions, and SCL Health, where they focused on managed care contracting, provider network development, and payer contracting.

Wendy M. Spirek has a Master's of Science degree in Health Care Administration from the University of Colorado Denver, a Bachelor's degree in Economics from the University of Colorado Boulder, and completed a short-term program in French Studies at Universite de Caen.
