Meri Kalin is an experienced educator currently serving as a Teacher at the City of Vaasa since August 2022. Prior to this role, Kalin worked as a Class Teacher in the City of Helsinki from 2018 to 2022, specializing in language immersion in Swedish. Between 2017 and 2018, Kalin was a Subject Teacher in the City of Turku, focusing on English and Swedish. Additional experience includes a position as a Substitute Teacher at the University of Turku for middle and upper secondary schools in late 2015, and a brief stint as a Substitute Teacher in Someron kaupunki in May 2014. Academically, Kalin holds a Master of Arts degree in Scandinavian Languages, Literatures, and Linguistics from Ã…bo Akademi University, obtained between August 2021 and December 2022, as well as an earlier education at the University of Turku from August 2010 to December 2018.
