John Verhelst is the current President at VA ELECTRICAL CONTRACTORS, LLC. Prior to this, they were Division Manager - San Antonio Division at G & R Electrical Construction, Inc. from April 2009 to August 2013. In this role, they were responsible for managing division operations for the San Antonio construction and service departments, overseeing P&Ls, customer development and retention, and HR duties. John was also responsible for the health of the division in today's economy.

Prior to G & R Electrical Construction, Inc., John was the owner of Matrix Electrical Services from February 2002 to May 2004. Before that, they were Branch Manager - Design Electric Houston at Design Electric from November 1989 to January 2002. In this role, they oversaw the management and development of the Houston division of Design Electric.

After Design Electric, John worked as Sr. Project Manager at Walker Engineering from May 2005 to April 2009. In this role, they managed large commercial projects such as Houston Community College, University of Houston-Wharton Junior College, and Methodist Sugarland Hospital - MOB - D&T and Parking Garage.

John Verhelst does not have a degree, but they have a diploma in Sports and Girls from Central Kitsap High School. John also has some medical training from Del Mar College.
