Debanjan Ray holds extensive experience in human resources management, currently serving as the Head of HR at V-Mart Retail Ltd. since January 2022, where responsibilities include influencing people strategies across 450 fashion retail stores. Prior to this role, Debanjan worked at TPG Wholesale Private Limited as a Human Resources Business Partner and L&D Head from May 2011 to January 2022, overseeing HR functions for 400 hypermarket stores with a workforce of 11,000. Additional roles include DGM of Human Resources at Next Retail-Videocon Group and GM of Human Resources at Woodland, as well as a tenure at McDonald's managing HR for 85 restaurants. Debanjan's career began at Sahara India, where responsibilities included talent acquisition and payroll administration. Debanjan holds a B.A. Hons. in Sociology from Sri Venkateswara University.
