Hasan Eker is an accomplished medical professional specializing in HPB and transplant surgery, currently serving at UZ Gent since January 2022. Prior to this role, Hasan Eker worked as an MD PhD at Medisch Centrum Leeuwarden from January 2018 to December 2021 and completed a fellowship in surgical oncology at VUmc in 2017. Hasan Eker's medical journey began with a residency at Erasmus MC from March 2007 to December 2010, during which time a PhD was also completed at the same institution. Educational qualifications include a medical degree in surgery from VU Medisch Centrum obtained between 2011 and 2016, and a Master's degree in general medicine from Erasmus University Rotterdam from 2000 to 2006. Early education was completed at Hugo de Groot, culminating in VWO in 2000.
