Leo Van Audenhove is a seasoned academic and researcher with extensive experience in communication science. Currently serving as a Full Professor and Head of Department at Vrije Universiteit Brussel since 2004, Leo has also held the position of Senior Researcher at imec since 2016. In addition to an Associate Professorship at Vrije Universiteit Brussel, Leo is an Extra-Ordinary Professor at the University of the Western Cape and acts as Director of Mediawijs.be, an organization promoting media literacy. Previous roles include Senior Researcher at imec-SMIT, Associate Professor at Vesalius College, and Researcher/Advisor at TNO-Delft. Leo holds a PhD and a Master's degree in Communication Science from Vrije Universiteit Brussel, completed between 1990 and 2002.
