Can Saygin, PhD, currently serves as the Senior Vice President for Research and Dean of the Graduate College at The University of Texas Rio Grande Valley, a position held since August 2022. Prior to this role, Can Saygin was affiliated with The University of Texas at San Antonio from August 2006 to July 2022, where responsibilities included serving as Senior Associate Vice President for Research, Senior Vice Provost for University Planning, and as a Professor of Mechanical Engineering. Additionally, Can Saygin contributed to the Center for Advanced Manufacturing and Lean Systems in Texas as an Affiliated Faculty member from 2007 to July 2022 and held the position of Director from September 2015 to September 2017.
