Subodh Rai has a diverse work experience spanning over two decades. Subodh is currently the Co-Founder and COO of Utopia Homes, a company with a mission to make homeownership accessible to all through their unique "Rent, Earn and Own" program. Prior to Utopia Homes, Subodh served as a Board Member at The-invERSITY. Subodh also worked as the Head of Risk at Keller William Financial Services from 2021 to 2022.

Subodh has a long tenure at Citi, where they held various roles, including Managing Director, Director - Credit Risk Modeling Head, Director - Service for Others Mortgage Portfolio Risk Head, Senior Vice President - Portfolio Risk, and Modeling Manager. Throughout their time at Citi, they displayed expertise in risk management, loss forecasting, reserve models, and portfolio analytics for retail bank products, investor loans, and mortgage scoring models.

Before joining Citi, Subodh worked as a Manager at Providian Financial (now Chase). Subodh also gained experience as an Operational Research Consultant at ZS Associates.

Subodh Rai's education history is as follows:

Subodh Rai earned a Bachelor of Arts (B.A.) degree in Economics (H) from Ramjas College, Delhi University, from 1989 to 1991. Subodh then pursued a Master of Arts (M.A.) degree in Economics from Delhi School of Economics, Delhi University, from 1991 to 1993.

Later on, Subodh Rai attended the University of California, Riverside, where they obtained a Doctor of Economics (Econometrics and Quantitative Economics) degree from 1995 to 2000. Subodh subsequently completed a Ph.D. in Economics from the same university.

In 2019, Subodh Rai enrolled in Columbia Business School and completed an EXECONLINE Advance Diploma in Leading Strategic Growth.

In addition to their formal education, Subodh Rai has obtained various certifications. In May 2021, they completed the "Accounting Foundations: Global Finance and Accounting" course from LinkedIn. In June 2019, they completed the "Leading Strategic Growth" program from Columbia Business School Executive Education.
