Alexander Ermakov has extensive experience in various roles within the transportation and consulting industries. Alexander is currently serving as the Deputy Business Development Director at UTLC ERA since March 2022. Prior to this, they worked at Russian Railways from December 2017 to May 2021, where they held the position of Deputy Head of Subsidiaries and Associates Supervision. Before joining Russian Railways, Alexander worked at Strategy Partners as a Director from September 2007 to August 2017. Alexander'scareer began at LUKOIL in February 2002, where they served as the Head of Asset Management Department until August 2007.

Alexander Ermakov holds a Bachelor's Degree in Language Interpretation and Translation (English) from Moscow State Linguistic University. Alexander also has an Engineer's Degree in Mechanical Engineering from Bauman Moscow State Technical University, which they obtained between the years 1982 and 1988. In addition, Alexander obtained a Doctor of Philosophy (Ph.D.) degree in Business/Managerial Economics from Bauman Moscow State Technical University from 1993 to 1997. Furthermore, they pursued professional development in the field of Oil & Gas from 2005 to 2007 at the Moscow Institute of Oil and Gas Business.
