Teresa Garza has extensive experience in academic and administrative roles, currently serving as an Academic Program Coordinator at UT Health San Antonio since October 2016, with a promotion to this position in September 2022. Prior to this, Teresa held various administrative positions, including Senior Administrative Assistant at Texas State University where oversight of a significant NSF funded grant aimed at increasing participation by underrepresented groups in materials research was a key responsibility. Teresa's background also includes roles in project management, conference coordination, and travel planning across several organizations, including Oak Hill Technology, Inc., the University of Texas at Austin, and SEMATECH. Educational achievements include a Bachelor of Arts in Communication and Media Studies from The University of Texas at San Antonio and an Associate of Arts from San Antonio College.
