Hooman Mir, DPM, MSci, FAPWCA, is an accomplished DPM Physician and Assistant Professor of Medicine at UT Health RGV since July 2022, with a focus on podiatric medicine and wound care. Hooman serves as the CEO and Founder of Hooman Medicine, a concierge medical service specializing in diabetes management and gait and biomechanics. Prior experience includes roles as a DPM Physician and Assistant Professor at Western University of Health Sciences from November 2015 to January 2022, with a fellowship and board certification in wound care. Hooman's extensive education includes a Doctor of Podiatry Medicine from Temple University, a Physician Master's degree in Clinical Investigation from UT Health San Antonio, a surgical internship in Foot & Ankle Surgery at the Icahn School of Medicine at Mount Sinai, and advanced training in healthcare policy from Jefferson Health. Additional qualifications include externships at Yale School of Medicine, Scott & White Hospital, and a Bachelor's degree in Pre-Medicine from The University of Texas at San Antonio. Recently, Hooman completed a postgraduate degree in Academic Medicine at Harvard Medical School (June 2022 - June 2023).
