Jared Hecht is a seasoned entrepreneur and venture partner at Union Square Ventures since 2024. Previously, from 2012 to 2023, Jared was involved in building companies and investing in promising entrepreneurs at Magellan. Notably, Jared co-founded Fundera, which achieved over $100 million in annual revenue and was acquired by NerdWallet in 2020, after serving as CEO from 2014 to 2022. Earlier, Jared co-founded GroupMe, which had over 100 million users and was acquired by Skype/Microsoft in 2011. Additionally, Jared contributed to business development at Tumblr from 2009 to 2010. Jared holds a BA from Columbia University, earned in 2009.
