Kevin Carlson

Chief, Indopacom Strategic Assessments at United States Strategic Command

Kevin Carlson has a diverse work experience in the field of strategic assessments and planning. Kevin began their career in 2008 as an Executive Officer to the 17th Air Force Commander in the 17th Air Force. In 2009, they served as the Deputy Chief of the Strategy Division at the Joint Space Operations Center. From 2012 to 2014, they worked as the Deputy Chief of the Deliberate Plans Division and Chief of the PACOM Strategic Plans at the United States Strategic Command (USSTRATCOM). Kevin then became the Field Representative to the Headquarters of USSTRATCOM from 2014 to 2017. Following that, they joined The Garrett Group Inc. as an Individual Training Support - Space Subject Matter Expert from 2017 to 2018. Currently, they are employed at the United States Strategic Command as the Chief of INDOPACOM Strategic Assessments.

Kevin Carlson completed their Bachelor of Arts (B.A.) degree in Mathematics and Economics from the University of Colorado Boulder in 1993. Kevin then pursued a Master of Science (M.S.) degree in International Relations from Troy University, which they completed in 2002.
