Jared Thompson

Advanced Capabilities Integration Branch Chief at United States Strategic Command

Jared Thompson has a diverse and extensive work experience. Jared is currently serving as the Advanced Capabilities Integration Branch Chief at the United States Strategic Command since August 2022. Prior to this role, they worked as an Engineer for the United States Air Force starting from May 2008, and later became the Program Manager, and Strike Systems Division for the AFLCMC Fighter Bomber Directorate from April 2017 to July 2020. Jared also had experience as a Student at the School of Advanced Air and Space Studies (SAASS) from July 2021 to September 2022, and as a Military Analyst at the Foundation for Defense of Democracies (FDD) from January 2021 to June 2021. Jared also served as a Strategic Policy Fellow at NASA from August 2020 to January 2021. Additionally, Jared held various positions at the Air Force Technical Applications Center, including Executive Officer from November 2015 to March 2017 and Systems Engineering Section Chief from April 2014 to November 2015. Jared was a Graduate Student at the Air Force Institute of Technology from March 2012 to March 2014 and worked as an Operations Analyst at the USAF Test Pilot School from July 2011 to March 2012. Prior to that, Jared started their career as an Operations Engineer and Test Conductor at the 419th FLTS, where they focused on B-52 ops engineering and also performed duties for B-1 and B-2.

Jared Thompson's education history begins in 2004 when they enrolled at the United States Air Force Academy, where they pursued a Bachelor of Science degree in Aerospace, Aeronautical, and Astronautical Engineering. Jared completed this program in 2008.
