Rebecca Levine

Lieutenant Commander at USPHS Commissioned Corps

Rebecca "Bex" Levine is a Senior Research Scientist at the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) and serves as an Officer in the Epidemic Intelligence Service. Levine has been with the CDC since July 2014, having previously held the position of Research Fellow at the same institution from 2001 to 2005 and again from 2007 to 2008. Additionally, Levine is a Lieutenant Commander in the Commissioned Corps of the U.S. Public Health Service. Prior experience includes working as a Science Educator with the DeKalb County School District from 2005 to 2007. Levine holds a Ph.D. in Population Biology, Ecology, and Evolution from Emory University, as well as a Master of Public Health in International Health and Infectious Diseases from the same institution, and an AB in Ecology and Evolutionary Biology from Princeton University.
