Tim Greiner has a diverse work experience in the field of technology and education. Tim started their career in 1996 as a web developer and technical writer at U.S. Pharmacopeia, where they independently developed and configured web applications using HTML, Perl, and JavaScript. Tim also automated Microsoft Office documents using VB. In 1998, they became the Manager of Web Technologies at U.S. Pharmacopeia, overseeing the development of the company's website and internet technology applications.
In 2000, Tim joined Extraprise as a Web Developer, where they collaborated with project teams to plan, design, and develop B2B websites. Tim integrated web user interfaces with back-end systems and n-tier applications using various web technologies. Shortly after, they joined NBS as the Director of Software, responsible for the overall operations of an e-commerce trading site. Tim developed and maintained application code and graphics and implemented new features, including a web-clipping application for market access via PDA.
Returning to U.S. Pharmacopeia in 2001, Tim took on the role of Manager of Software Development. Tim directed all aspects of development, working with different departments to align resources with business needs. Tim also implemented an Enterprise Architecture team to encourage technical knowledge sharing and innovative use of IT. Later, they became the Manager of DSD Information Systems, where they guided software and system development efforts for standards-setting applications. Tim also implemented a corporate-wide training program.
In 2011, Tim transitioned to the role of Director of Client Technology Integration at U.S. Pharmacopeia. Tim provided technology vision, strategy, and leadership for enterprise technology activities, translating business needs into effective requirements. Finally, in 2016, Tim became the Senior Director of USP Education, responsible for the success and modernization of the Global Education Program. Tim collaborated with business units to develop strategies, improve instructional design and program automation, and enhance digital marketing efforts.
Tim Greiner earned a BS degree in English and Math from Towson University, which they attended from 1985 to 1989. In 2006, they obtained a Green Belt in Six Sigma from Villanova University. Most recently, in 2017, they completed a Marketing Certificate in Marketing Strategy from Cornell University.
