Jim Cao has over 20 years of experience in operations and manufacturing, working in various leadership roles. Jim has held positions at companies such as Universal Scientific Industrial Co., UTAC, TE Connectivity, Mindspeed Technologies, Hoya Xponent, Vitesse Semiconductor, ON Semiconductor, and Motorola.

At Universal Scientific Industrial Co., Jim served as the Sr. Vice President, General Manager of the Greater Shanghai Area. Jim successfully built and led the company's SiP module manufacturing operation and consumer wearable SiP business unit, achieving annual revenue of over $3.8B in 2020.

Prior to that, Jim was the Sr. Vice President, Operations at UTAC, where they oversaw all five high volume semiconductor factories in China, Thailand, Singapore, and Taiwan, driving revenue and operating efficiency improvements.

Jim also worked as the Vice President, Engineering & CME at TE Connectivity, leading advanced manufacturing engineering efforts companywide to improve manufacturing platforms and drive gross margin improvement.

As the Sr. Vice President, Operations at Mindspeed Technologies, Jim was responsible for the worldwide operation, contributing significantly to the company's operating performance turnaround and the increase in market capitalization by more than 10X.

In addition, Jim held leadership positions at Hoya Xponent, Vitesse Semiconductor, ON Semiconductor, and Motorola, where they gained experience in managing complex manufacturing operations, fabless manufacturing, wafer foundry operations, production planning, procurement, and supply chain management.

Jim Cao attended Arizona State University from 1985 to 1991, where they obtained a Master's degree in Mechanical Engineering (MSME) and also a Master's degree in Industrial Engineering (MEIE). Their field of study included Mechanical Engineering and Industrial Engineering.
