Sathishkumar Chandrakumar is an experienced research associate currently at Doheny Eye Institute since September 2019, with a strong background in postdoctoral research at the David Geffen School of Medicine at UCLA from November 2019 to November 2023, and at the University of California, Riverside from November 2018 to October 2019. Previous research experience includes a significant tenure as a research fellow and project assistant at the Madras Diabetes Research Foundation from April 2009 to November 2018, as well as a project trainee role at the National Institute for Plant Genome Research in early 2008. Sathishkumar holds a Doctor of Philosophy in Epigenetics and Cellular Biology from the University of Madras, where educational credentials also include a Master of Science in Biotechnology and a Bachelor of Science in Biochemistry.
