S( Ben) M is an experienced data scientist and manager currently working at USAA since June 2019, focusing on large language models, natural language processing, and generative AI. Prior to this role, S( Ben) M served as a data scientist and machine learning engineer at the Federal Home Loan Bank from 2017 to 2019, where responsibilities included developing credit risk forecasting models and deploying them on AWS. Earlier experience includes a vice president position at Citi from 2014 to 2016, where S( Ben) M built credit risk default models and loss forecasting models for a significant portfolio. S( Ben) M holds a bachelor's degree in computer science/engineering from Osmania University, a master's degree in statistics from The University of Burdwan, and an MBA with a quantitative focus from West Bengal University of Technology, along with education from Harvard University and the Institute and Faculty of Actuaries.
