Carolyn Marchand-Luiz is an experienced professional in operational risk management and governance, currently serving in the Enterprise Operational Risk Programs and Governance role at USAA since March 2021. Prior to this, Carolyn held key positions at Santander US from September 2015 to March 2021, including Head of US Operational Risk Program Governance and Oversight and Director of Enterprise Risk Management and Governance, where responsibilities encompassed oversight of the Material Risk, Risk Appetite, Strategic Risk, Reputation Risk, and New Product and Business Activity Programs. Carolyn's earlier experience includes various roles at Citizens Financial Group, Inc., where duties ranged from implementing risk assessment methodologies to managing Human Resources technology projects and regulatory risk assessments. Carolyn began the professional journey with State Street, advancing through positions that involved project management and operational team leadership. Carolyn earned a Bachelor of Science in Business Administration with a focus on Accounting from Stonehill College between 1990 and 1994.
