Roddy David has extensive experience in law enforcement and government leadership. Currently serving as Chief Operating Officer for Hamilton County Government in Tennessee since October 2022, Roddy also holds the position of Special Advisor to the Hamilton County Mayor and Chief of Staff. In addition, Roddy is the Senior Director of Safety and Risk Management at USA TODAY NETWORK Ventures. Prior to these roles, Roddy had a distinguished career at the Chattanooga Police Department, culminating as Chief of Police from March 1995 to January 2022, overseeing a large department with 500 sworn officers and a budget of approximately $74 million. Roddy David holds a Bachelor of Applied Science in Criminal Justice and Corrections from Middle Tennessee State University.
