Michael Cain has a diverse work experience in various roles within the sports and consulting industry. Michael started their career as an Assistant Meet Director for the USA Track & Field Junior Olympic National Championships. Michael then worked as a Law Clerk for Haessler, Sullivan, Nygren, Klein, Ltd and Douglas County Legal Aid Society, Inc. Moving into sports management, Cain joined the 2002 Salt Lake City Winter Olympic Games as a Sector Coordinator at Utah Olympic Park. Michael later became the Manager of National Teams & Elite Athlete Programs at USA Track & Field, overseeing operations for multiple national teams. Cain then joined The Walt Disney Company as a Sports Manager and Business Consultant, managing event portfolios and serving as an on-air talent for ESPN3. Michael further expanded their career by working as the Director of Business Development at the United States Olympic & Paralympic Committee, leading guest experience initiatives and generating significant revenue. Cain also served as the General Manager for Olympic/NGB Sports Properties at Playfly Sports, where they implemented a new business model and drove business growth. Currently, Cain holds the position of Chief Executive Officer at USA Karate (USA-NKF) and works as an Independent Consultant, providing strategic consulting services to various organizations.
Michael Cain received their Juris Doctor degree from the University of Kansas School of Law from 1998 to 2001. Prior to that, they obtained a Bachelor of Science in Journalism with a focus on Advertising from the University of Kansas, William Allen White School of Journalism between 1993 and 1998. Additionally, they obtained a certification in Olympic/Paralympic Sport Leadership from Northwestern Kellogg School's Center for Nonprofit Management, although the specific dates of this certification are unknown.
