Balakrisnan Premnath has a diverse work experience spanning several industries. Balakrisnan started their career as a Manager at Chemeton Process Euipment in 1979 and held the role until 1983. Balakrisnan then worked as an Exec VP at Harris & Mallow Inc from 1986 to 1996. In 1995, they joined food import group as a vp and stayed there till 2000. Since 2000, they have been the President & CEO of US RING.

Balakrisnan Premnath completed their secondary education at St Threasa Vasco Goa from 1965 to 1969, obtaining their SSC degree. Balakrisnan then enrolled at the National Institute of Technology Calicut, where they pursued a Bachelor of Science in Engineering in civil from 1972 to 1976. Afterward, they attended the University of Michigan from 1977 to 1979 for an MBA program.
