Gena Ahlawat has worked as a Registered Nurse at Fairfax Behavioral Health and as a Clinical Nurse Educator at Smokey Point Behavioral Hospital. Currently, they hold the position of Chief Nursing Officer at US HealthVest, a role they have been in since 2018.

Gena Ahlawat obtained a Master's degree in Nursing Leadership and Management from Western Governors University from 2018 to 2021. Prior to that, they completed a Bachelor of Science degree in Nursing Science from The University of Southern Mississippi from 2002 to 2004.
