Michelle Hooper is an experienced Geographic Information System (GIS) professional currently serving as the GIS Administrator at The Ohio State University since August 2022. With a robust background in GIS analysis and data management, prior roles include GIS Analyst positions with the City of Columbus and City of Grove City, as well as a GIS/Data Technician role with the City of Delaware, OH. Michelle has also contributed as a GIS Volunteer for URISA's GISCorps since September 2019 and began their career as a Junior GIS Analyst at NiSource. Michelle holds a Bachelor's degree in Geographic Information Science and Cartography from The Ohio State University and possesses an MS in Human Osteoarchaeology from The University of Edinburgh, along with another Bachelor's degree in Physical and Biological Anthropology from The Ohio State University.
