Debashish Chakravarthy, Ph.D., is a seasoned scientist currently with Urgo Medical North America since October 2019. Prior to this role, Debashish served as Vice President of Scientific and Technical Affairs for the Skin/Wound Care and Regeneration division at Medline Industries from August 2005 to October 2019, significantly contributing to the division's sevenfold growth by developing new product lines and securing regulatory clearances. Debashish¡¯s earlier experience includes heading business development for Advanced Medical Solutions in the USA, where commercialization of technologies such as silver-containing wound dressings was a focus, as well as driving product development at VariSeal Corporation and contributing to process engineering at National Organic Chemical Industries Ltd. Debashish earned a Ph.D. in Biochemistry and Polymer Science from The University of Akron and holds a Bachelor of Technology in Pharmaceuticals and Fine Chemicals and a Bachelor of Science in Chemistry from the University of Bombay.
