Jacinth Jones is a Strategic Communications and Media Relations Specialist at the Urban Institute, with experience managing all phases of the organization's Critical Value podcast and writing media pitches for research reports. As a NextGen HBCU Fellow at ColorComm, Inc., Jacinth participates in a mentorship and professional development program. Jacinth is also the Founder of COSMiC, focusing on Black culture, particularly in music and HBCUs, and collaborates with local creatives. In the role of Media Relations Coordinator for the Hoop For All Foundation, Jacinth has successfully pitched media coverage for a cancer awareness basketball tournament. Previous experience includes positions as a Campus Staff Writer for HBCU Buzz, internships at WUSA-TV, NBC News, and The Hilltop. Jacinth holds a Master of Professional Studies in Public Relations and Corporate Communications from Georgetown University and a Bachelor of Arts in Journalism from Howard University.
