Sanbir R. is a Quality Development Engineer at Urban Electric Power, where the role encompasses R&D and QC testing, focusing on raw material quality assurance and the development of advanced manganese dioxide-based cathodes for electrochemical cells. Responsibilities include scaling up manufacturing processes and commercializing next-generation Zn-MnO2 cells. Prior experience includes a brief audit engineering fellowship at the NYC Office of the Comptroller, biomedical engineering research at The City College of New York, and teaching as the Head Chemistry Instructor at Bobby Tariq Tutoring Center. Sanbir R. also completed an engineering internship with the ACE Mentor Program of Greater NY and a communications internship for a political campaign. Currently pursuing a Master of Science in Data Science at Johns Hopkins Whiting School of Engineering, Sanbir R. previously earned a Bachelor of Engineering in Chemical Engineering from The City College of New York.
