James Magweiga is a Senior Exploration Geologist at Uranium1 since August 2009, where responsibilities include planning drill holes, mapping, trenching, logging, planning trench locations, and report writing. Previously, James worked at PlacerDome from February 2002 to July 2005 on the North Mara Gold Project, supervising drilling operations and conducting mapping and report writing. Prior experience includes a role at Resolute Mining on the Lusu Gold Project, focusing on geochemical soil sampling and logging. James holds a Bachelor of Science in Geology from the University of Dar es Salaam, obtained between 1994 and 1997, and completed a Pure Science ACSE at Kibaha High School from 1990 to 1992.
