In 2002, they completed a Diploma in Legal Nurse Consulting from Kaplan University. Later, from 2006 to 2008, they pursued simultaneous degrees, earning a Masters of Science in Nursing and a Masters of Science in Healthcare Administration from the University of Phoenix. Monica also has additional certification as a CCM (Commission for Case Manager Certification) certified professional.
