Matt Fisher began their career in 2012 when they founded Tripod Software, a Lancaster University spin-out computing company based in InfoLab21. In this role, they focused on three streams of software development and consulting, and worked on a diverse range of projects. In 2014, they joined KrakenFlex (part of the Octopus Energy Group) as a Lead Software Engineer. In this role, they aimed to reduce greenhouse gases by enabling people to make smart choices about when to use energy, and worked to ensure the electricity grid did not run dangerously short of capacity.
Matt Fisher attended Lancaster University from 2005 to 2008, where they earned a Bachelor of Science in Computer Science. Matt then returned to Lancaster University from 2008 to 2009 to obtain a Master of Science in Computer Science.
