William Martin, PgMP?, has over 28 years of work experience in various engineering and project management roles. William is currently serving as the Director of Project Management at UPPAbaby since March 2021. Previously, they worked as the Director of Project Management and Engineering at UPPAbaby from August 2014 to March 2021. Prior to UPPAbaby, they held the position of Vice President of Engineering at GBG Design from February 2011 to August 2014. William also worked as a Senior Project Engineer at Summer Infant from September 2009 to January 2011 and as a Principal Engineer at Broadleaf Engineering from March 2008 to September 2009. Before that, they served as Director of Design and Engineering at Dorel Juvenile Group from March 2007 to March 2008, Director of Engineering from July 1998 to March 2007, and Project Engineer from 2000 to 2002. William also worked as a Project Engineer at Safety 1st from 1995 to 2000. William started their career as an Applications Engineer at Asahi/America from April 1993 to January 1995, where they supported distributors in using the company's products in various applications and assisted in new development designs.
William Martin, PgMP?, has a strong educational background in engineering and project management. William earned a Bachelor of Science in Mechanical Engineering from the University of Massachusetts Lowell, completing their degree from 1987 to 1992. Following this, they pursued further education and obtained a Master of Science in Plastics Engineering from the same institution between 1995 and 2004.
In addition to their academic qualifications, William has acquired several certifications related to project management. William is a certified Project Management Professional (PMP?), having obtained this credential from the Project Management Institute in December 2019. William also holds the PMI Professional in Business Analysis (PMI-PBA)? certification, achieved in October 2020 from the same institution.
William further enhances their expertise with a Lean Six Sigma Green Belt Certification received from QPS in April 2021. Demonstrating their commitment to project management, they are currently pursuing the highest level of certification in this field, the Program Management Professional (PgMP)?, which they are expected to obtain from the Project Management Institute in October 2022.
