Fabrice Devaux has a diverse work experience spanning over several companies and roles. Fabrice started their career as an Engineer at A.C.R.I, where they contributed to ASIC design and functional verification. Fabrice then moved on to SOREP, where they worked on various projects involving micro-architecture conception and verification of complex digital circuits for clients like Sogitec and STMicroelectronics.
In 2000, Fabrice joined STMicroelectronics as a CPU architect and VLSI designer. Fabrice played a significant role in designing the ST100 instruction set and micro-architecture, as well as half of the ST100 numeric operators. Fabrice also designed the Super10 micro-architecture, a 16-bit microcontroller for disk drives.
Later, Fabrice became the CTO of Trango Virtual Processors, where they founded the company and led the development of hypervisors for MIPS and ARM architectures. Fabrice managed the team responsible for hypervisor development.
In 2008, Fabrice joined VMware as a Senior Staff Software Engineer. During their time there, they contributed their expertise in software engineering.
From 2010 to 2012, Fabrice was self-employed with their company PRISC, though information about their specific role is not available.
Most recently, Fabrice has been serving as the CTO of uPmem since 2013. The details of their role at uPmem are not provided.
Overall, Fabrice has a diverse background in ASIC design, CPU architecture, VLSI design, hypervisor development, and software engineering.
Fabrice Devaux completed their education from 1986 to 1991 at Pierre and Marie Curie University. During this period, they pursued a DEA degree in Microelectronics.
