Benoit Chantepie began their work experience as a PhD student at the Centre de Physique des Particules de Marseille (CPPM) from 2005 to 2008. During this time, they focused on analog and mixed signal design, developing a fast low-noise electronics for a hybrid pixel X-ray detector. Benoit also played a role in the instrumentation of x-ray beamlines at ESRF and SOLEIL, and a spin-off called imXpad was created for the commercialization of XPAD3 detectors.
In 2009, Chantepie joined INVIA as a Product Engineer and Analog IP designer. Benoit was responsible for product engineering tasks related to NPI (New Product Introduction) and designing analog IP. Benoit remained with INVIA until 2019.
From 2019 to 2021, Chantepie worked as a Product Engineer at Infineon Technologies, focusing on production and product engineering.
In 2021, Chantepie joined UPMEM as the Director of Manufacturing.
Benoit Chantepie has a strong educational background in the field of microelectronics and instrumentation. Benoit obtained an Engineer's degree in Microelectronics from the Institut supérieur d'électronique et du numérique, which they completed from 2000 to 2005. Following this, they pursued a Master's degree in Microelectronics at Ecole polytech Marseille, graduating in 2005. Benoit continued their academic journey as a PhD student at Université Aix-Marseille, specializing in Instrumentation and Microelectronics, from 2005 to 2008.
