Kaisa Ventelä-Nilsson has a diverse work experience spanning over two decades. Kaisa started their career at UPM in 1995, where they worked in various positions in a SC paper machine. Kaisa then joined Metso in 1996 as a Development Engineer/Analyst, where they focused on R&D process development and project portfolio management. In 2000, Kaisa joined Nokia Mobile Phones as a Development Manager, responsible for establishing a global mobile service business and overseeing CRM development. Kaisa later took on the role of Product Marketing Manager, focusing on alliance management and partner development. In 2002, Kaisa transitioned to Nokia, where they held the positions of Development Manager and Senior Development Manager, focusing on strategy deployment and business development. Kaisa returned to UPM in 2011 and has since held the roles of Director of Talent Management and VP of HR Strategic Development, leading strategic development, talent management, and leadership development initiatives.
Kaisa Ventelä-Nilsson obtained their MSc degree in Industrial Engineering and Management from Tampere University of Technology between 1992 and 1997. Prior to that, they attended Jalasjärven Lukio from 1989 to 1992. Kaisa also briefly studied at Université catholique de Louvain in 1995, although no specific degree or field of study was provided.
