Mikko Kari has a solid work experience in the operations and supply chain management field. Mikko started their career as a Process Engineer at Raflatac Oy in 1997 and then served as a Coating Manager at Raflatac Ltd. from 1998 to 2001. Mikko joined Raflatac Inc. in 2001 and held the positions of Coating Manager and later Operations Director for the Americas until 2006. In 2006, they transferred to UPM Raflatac where they held various leadership roles, including Operations Director for Europe and subsequently Director of Operations & Supply Chain for Europe. From 2011 to 2013, they served as the Director of Operations & Supply Chain for EMEA, and from 2013 to 2017, they became the Vice President of Global Operations & Supply Chain Management. Currently, since March 2017, they hold the position of Vice President of Global Development, Operations & Supply Chain Management at UPM Raflatac.
Mikko Kari had an extensive education history. In 1990, they began their studies at the Tampere University of Technology, where they pursued a Master of Science degree in Industrial Engineering and Management. Mikko successfully completed their degree in 1996. Afterward, in 2001, Mikko Kari enrolled in the UPM eMBA-program at Helsingin kauppakorkeakoulu, where they further enhanced their knowledge and skills. This program lasted until 2002.
