Ericka Veliz's early career involved research and educational roles, including a Graduate Research Assistantship at the University of Delaware and a position as a Science Teacher at Appoquinimink High School. A background in molecular biology was established as a Public Health Laboratory Scientist II for the State of Maryland, with key contributions to quality control in diagnostic procedures.
