DevOps Engineer at uPerform

Clay Cain has a diverse range of work experience in various roles within the technology field. Clay'smost recent position is as a DevOps Engineer at uPerform, starting in September 2021.

Prior to this, Clay worked at UPS Supply Chain Solutions, where they held several roles. Clay started as an Application Developer Intern in May 2017 and later became a Software Developer I in August 2017. In October 2018, Clay transitioned to the role of Application Developer, where they made significant contributions to improving the efficiency of the deployment process for the GWS AI Team. Clay developed a graphical user interface (GUI) in C# to work with remote servers, resulting in an 80% increase in efficiency. Additionally, Clay worked with Linux, Windows, and Unix servers for global UPS warehouse applications and coordinated server outages for security patch implementation.

Prior to UPS, Clay gained experience as a Data Innovation Lab Intern at The National Society of High School Scholars from February 2017 to May 2017. In this role, they improved business analytics by designing and implementing social media bots and gained expertise in using Selenium with Python for browser automation. Clay also gained hands-on experience managing and debugging errors in Linux servers.

Before their role at NSHSS, Clay worked as an eCommerce Developer Intern at SBwebstore from June 2016 to October 2016. Here, they collaborated with a remote team to construct a visually appealing and user-friendly website. Clay developed skills in HTML, Sass, JavaScript, and SQL to create responsive designs and toggle website modules on or off.

Clay Cain is an individual with a comprehensive education history. Clay began their academic journey at Georgia Highlands College from 2011 to 2014, where they earned an Associate's degree in Business Administration and Management, General. Following this, Clay pursued higher education at Kennesaw State University from 2015 to 2017. During this time, they completed their Bachelor's degree in Computer Science. Apart from their formal education, Clay has also obtained various certifications to further enhance their skills and expertise. In March 2019, they earned the Microsoft Certified - Azure Fundamentals certification from Microsoft. Additionally, Clay obtained the AWS Certified Developer - Associate and AWS Certified Solutions Architect - Associate certifications from Amazon Web Services (AWS), in January 2022 and November 2021 respectively.
