Bill Gross has a diverse work experience, primarily focused on founding and chairing various companies. In 1996, they founded Idealab, a technology incubator that has launched over 150 companies and created thousands of jobs. Bill continues to serve as Founder and Chairman of Idealab. In recent years, they co-founded and chaired Energy Vault SA, UpdateAI, tvScientific, Camino Mobility, and CarbonCapture Inc. In addition to their entrepreneurial ventures, Bill has also served as a trustee for the Art Center College of Design. Bill founded Elementary Robotics in 2017 and Migo, Inc. in 2015, where they served as Chairman and Co-Founder respectively. Prior to these ventures, Bill founded X1 in 2000.
Bill Gross attended Birmingham High School from 1972 to 1976. Following high school, they pursued a Bachelor of Science (B.S.) degree in Engineering at Caltech from 1976 to 1981.
