Ali El Idrissi has a long and diverse work experience. In 2017, they founded and became the CEO of UpChoose, a tech-enabled service that eliminates excess and waste by reconnecting people with what they truly need. From 2008 to 2012, they worked at J.P. Morgan in various roles, including Vice President of Impact Investing/Social Finance and Investment Banking. From 2015 to 2017, they were an Advisor to the UK Government on Impact Investing, an Advisor for Guaana, and a Teaching Social Entrepreneurship and Impact Investing at Sciences Po. Additionally, they were an Advisor for LOOLY'S in 2013 and an Advisory Board Member for Columbia Impact Investing Initiative (Ci3) at Columbia University in the City of New York in 2012. Ali'swork experience began in 2007 when they were an Intern at Merrill Lynch, and in 2004 they were an Intern at Procter & Gamble.
Ali El Idrissi obtained their Bachelor's degree in Economics and Finance from Université Paris Dauphine - PSL in 2005. Ali then obtained their Bachelor's degree in Philosophy from University of Paris I: Panthéon-Sorbonne in 2006. In the same year, Ali El Idrissi also obtained a Master's degree in Finance & Strategy from Sciences Po. Finally, they obtained a Master of International Affairs (MIA) in International Economics and Finance from Columbia | SIPA in 2007.
