Tracie Small has over 17 years of experience in the benefits and compliance field, currently serving as Director of Portland Benefits at Unum since March 2007. In this role, Tracie is responsible for enhancing organizational performance through the assurance of quality claim documentation, decision rationale, and compliance with regulatory requirements, including ERISA law. Tracie also collaborates with the management team to deepen technical expertise within the Disability Benefits Operation. Prior to Unum, Tracie worked as a Lead Long Term Disability Benefits Specialist at Sabre Corporation and gained early experience as a Receptionist/Payroll Clerk. Tracie holds a Bachelor of Science degree in History from the University of Maine, obtained in 2006, and a high school diploma from Lake Region High School.
