Ashok Prasad has been in the telecommunications industry since 1996. Ashok began their career at Ericsson Communication Pvt Ltd as a Specialist - Switching. In 2004 they moved to Nokia Networks as a Core Specialist. In 2005 they joined Nortel as a Sr. Manager - Business Development. In 2008 they were hired by One97 Communication Pvt ltd as General Manager - Business Development. In 2009 they were hired by Tata Teleservices Limited as Regional Head & VAS SME – GSM BU (Technology). In 2011 they co-founded Akshamaala Solutions Pvt Ltd, where they offered data driven solutions for Agriculture and Rural Market. During their time with Akshamaala, they received Flame Awards Asia - Bronze in 2016, SKOCH Award for Smart Agri in 2015, and SKOCH Digital Inclusion Silver in 2012.

Ashok Prasad completed an Executive MBA in International Business from the Indian Institute of Foreign Trade between 2006 and 2008. Ashok also obtained an M.S in Software Systems from the Birla Institute of Technology and Science, Pilani between 2001 and 2003.
