Hope was also an Assistant Vice President for Career Solutions Product Research and ACT Foundation Liaison at ACT, where they developed and executed the company's career solutions research agenda.
Earlier in their career, Hope Clark served as the Director of Research and Market Development at the Indiana Department of Workforce Development. In this role, they directed a large budget and a team of employees in support of the state's labor market information and statistical programs. Hope also worked as a Senior Associate at Workforce Associates, Inc. and as a Regional Manager at AAIM Employers' Association, where they represented the association at various meetings and developed consulting contracts and training programs.

Hope Clark, PhD has a diverse education history. Hope obtained a Doctor of Philosophy (PhD) degree in Industrial and Organizational Psychology from Northern Illinois University. Additionally, they earned a Master of Arts (MA) degree in both Industrial and Organizational Psychology and Rehabilitation Counseling from the same institution. Hope Clark also attended The University of Iowa Tippie College of Business from 2014 to 2015, where they participated in the ACT Leadership Academy, focusing on leadership development. In 2020, they were enrolled in the Community College Leadership Initiative Consortium Program at Iowa State University. Furthermore, they hold a certification in Foresight Practitioner Training, obtained in October 2018, from the Institute for the Future.
