Beth Schommer currently serves as Chief of Staff and Legislative Liaison at the University of Wisconsin-River Falls, where responsibilities include assisting the Chancellor with executive and operational tasks while fostering collaborative relationships to realize the Chancellor's vision. Schommer has previously held the role of Advancement Officer at the same university, contributing to strategic fundraising efforts and building connections with alumni and corporations. Prior experience includes positions as Director General and Executive Director at the Ev-K2-CNR Committee, overseeing integrated research on environmental and sustainable development in mountainous regions and collaborating with various international agencies. Additionally, Schommer worked as a freelance translator and interpreter, and as Assistant Director of Studies at Linguaviva, managing a team of English language instructors. Academic credentials include a DTEFLA from the University of Cambridge and a summa cum laude B.A. in Italian Area Studies from the University of Minnesota.
